Jesus HealsPRESS RELEASE

Old Catholic History
Chickasha, OK 73018

Family and Friends,

Just as the man in the picture above, I have hope that Jesus, in some way, will touch me and make me whole. If that is in His plan for Donald Weeks. I am 67 now, some say that 67 is young and that I am still a young man. My father was 29, when he died of a massive heart attack.

Each night before I retire I ask my caregiver to pray with me an annoint me with water from Lourds. I ask you, my Family and Friends to pray that God will have His way with me.

Check out the new complete webpages.

Bishop Michael Nesmith is the new moderator of Oud-Katholieke-Kerk. Please welcome him.

THE MOST REVEREND JOSEPH RENE VILATTE, DD

Abp. VillattePRESS RELEASE
Thursday December 17, 2009
Old Catholic History
Chickasha, OK 73018

It has recently come to the attention of the Administration of Old Catholic History webpage that certain Old and Independent Catholic Church have the following on their webpage “Joseph René Vilatte (January 24, 1854 - July 1, 1929) was, at different times, a Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Russian Orthodox and Jacobite. He is best known, however, for his activities as an Old Catholic cleric.

As a child Vilatte was raised in the''Petite Eglise'' a rebellious Catholic sect in France. As a young man he converted to Roman Catholicism. He entertained the idea of becoming a “Christian Brother” and attended their training school in France. Because of the war in France, Vilatte decided to move to Canada to avoid the draft.

In Canada and in the United States Vilatte worked under the protection of the former “Father Charles Chinquey” who became a Presbyterian Minister. While Vilatte eked out a living as a schoolmaster for the Presbyterians, he never officially joined their church. When invited by Chinquey to minister to Presbyterians in Northeast Wisconsin, he soon became because he was not teaching them Catholicism.

Vilatte was never a member of the Protestant Episcopal Church, nor the Russian Orthodox. The so-called writers of history have done a mis-service to the honor and dignity of Vilatte. Vilatte worked with the financial help of the Episcopal Diocese of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Just before leaving for Switzerland for Ordination by the Old Catholic Church, Vilatte told Bishop Hobart Brown, the Episcopal Bishop that “He was Old Catholic and that he would die Old Catholic” (This statement is registered with the University of Wisconsin)
